Washington has no state limit on when or how long a bar runs happy hour. Drinks cannot be sold below the bar's cost, and bars cannot advertise deals that require buying more than one drink.

The rules

  1. Drinks must be sold at or above the licensee's cost, and free drinks cannot be used in ads or promotions.

  2. No offering drinks under slogans that require buying more than one drink to get the reduced price.
