Happy hour is legal in Maine with no limits on hours, but two-for-one promotions are not allowed. Bars cannot give free drinks or sell unlimited drinks for a fixed price.

The rules

  1. No free liquor, and no unlimited drinks for a fixed price except at private functions.

  2. Happy hours are allowed but two-for-one is prohibited, according to the state liquor bureau's licensee guide.
