After opening El Sol on 11th Street, chef Alfredo Solis and his sister Jessica started Mezcalero, a Mexico City street-food restaurant on 14th Street in Columbia Heights with more than 15 tacos, ceviches and a mezcal and tequila program. Monday to Friday, 3pm to 6pm, the Mezcalero margarita (tequila or mezcal) is $6, draft beer $3.50 and a mezcal boilermaker $10.
