Comstock Saloon fills a bar room on Columbus Avenue, where North Beach meets Jackson Square, that dates to 1907 and was restored in 2010. Tuesday to Saturday, 4pm to 6pm, boilermakers, cocktails and glasses of bubbly are all $9. Jazz plays from 8pm to 11pm on nights it is open, and on Fridays there is a free lunch from noon to 4pm with the purchase of two drinks.
